F. Technological Tests on Pipes
1. Pipe flattening test
1.1 To perform this test, a section of pipe equal in length to 1,5 times the pipe diameter, but not less than 10 mm and not more than 100 mm, is flattened between two plates to the prescribed distance H, see Chapter 2 – Steel and Iron Materials, Section 2, A.8.5 or until fracture occurs, see Figure 2.8. In the case of welded pipes, the specimen shall be placed in the press in such a manner that the seam is set at 90° to the direction of the pressure, unless agreed otherwise.
1.2 After the test, the specimens shall be thoroughly examined for defects with normal visual acuity.
The test shall be satisfactory if the specimen, having been flattened to the prescribed distance, is free from cracks and did not fracture.
The dimensions of the pipe section, the distance H between the flattening plates as well as the position of the welding joint are to be stated.
2. Ring expanding test
2.1 To perform this test, sections of pipe measuring 10 to 16 mm in length L are expanded to the prescribed diameter C or until fracture occurs using a drift with a taper of about 1:5. Where necessary, more than one test shall be performed with drifts of increasing diameter. The superimposition of several specimens of the same size and steel grade is permitted, see Figure 2.9.

F. 管材测试技术
1. 管压扁试验
1.1在这个测试中,长度为1至5倍管道直径的管道节,不短于10mm且不超过100mm,被两个平面挤压至距离距离H,第二章——钢铁材料,第二节, A.8.5部分;或者直至发生断裂,如图2.8所示。对焊接法制造的钢管,试样应放置在这样一种方式使得焊缝设定在与压力成90°的方向,除非另有商定。
1.2试验后,应用常规视觉方法彻底检查标本缺陷。
满意的实验是如果试样被压扁至规定的距离,没有见到裂隙、没有发生断裂,
管道节的尺寸,压扁板之间的距离H以及焊接接头的位置都应有记录。
2. 环锥撑胀测试
2.1 在这个测试中,长度L为10-16mm的测试样品管将被一个锥度*为1/5的模块撑胀至预定的内径C。必要时,可采用多个口径递次增加的模块完成实验。相同尺寸和钢种材料的交叠是允许的,如图2.9所示。
