2 years postdoctoral position at the Chemistry- Biology interface. The team ¡°Physics of the Cytoskeleton and Morphogenesis¡± in collaboration with the Department of Micro-Technologies for Biology and Health wishes to recruit a post doc for 2 years on a project funded by an interdisciplinary program at the interface between technology and life science. Our team studies the physical rules regulating cell architecture and internal organization. To that end, we developed surface micro-fabrication techniques (J Cell Science 2012, Lab On Chip 2011) in order to impose spatial boundary conditions to cytoskeleton self- organization. These geometrical and mechanical processes are investigated in cells (Nature Cell Biology 2013, PNAS 2012, JCB 2010) and in vitro with reconstituted systems made of purified proteins (Nature Materials 2013, Science 2012, Nature Materials 2010). The candidate will be in charge of developing a new versatile generation of micro- fabrication techniques applied to technological purpose (see Galland et al., Nature Materials, 2013), in vitro studies (see Reymann et al., Science 2012) or cell biology (see Tseng et al., PNAS, 2012). He/she should be trained in chemistry with some knowledge about protein engineering or cell biology. A working experience on micro fabrication and surface chemistry would be appreciated. Above all, the candidate should prove his/her deep interest in technological innovation. The candidate should be highly organized and capable to plan and perform several tasks in parallel and opened to interact with an interdisciplinary team. The candidate can not be more than 30 years old.
