2. The main research areas of insect bionics
Bionic products are the results of systemic approach of the nature and the device engineering of artefacts. The research involves three major steps:
(1) Looking for insect model. According to the problems required, an in-depth study of the corresponding functional characteristics of insects is carried out, such as the exploration of the structure and function of insect’s compound eyes and olfactory system, the control mechanism of nervous system, the chemical structure of the hormone, the flapping wing mode and energy consumption characteristics during the flying process of insects.
(2) Establishing mathematical model. Based on characteristics of insects and quantization and hipping technique, a mathematical approach to quantitative modeling is developed, which provide the basis for the establishment of hardware model. The model can used to study the flexion index of six limbs of leaping insects, the wings vibration frequency of flying insects, the lair three-dimensional parameters of nesting insects, etc.
(3) Building hardware model. That is to juxtapose and embed modular materials for fabricating products with bionic function on the basis of the mathematical model parameters or the model of insects, such as jumping robots, flying machine flies and ground speed meters.
    The main species studied and utilized in insect bionics are butterflies, moths, flies, bees, beetles, dragonflies, fleas. And more and more insects will become research objects with the increasing development of insect bionics and other related disciplines. Recently, research on insect bionics are mainly related to physical structures, structure and function of the organ, behavior, hormone, voice, nest structure, and research on applications are mainly related to structure and function bionics, molecular bionics, energy bionics, information and control bionics, acoustic bionics (Li et al., 2004). Further research is needed to explore new materials and fields.

2 昆虫仿生学的主要研究领域
仿生产品是自然和设备工程系统研究的结果。这项研究包括三个主要步骤:
(1)寻找昆虫模型。根据所需的问题,深入研究昆虫进行相应的功能特性,如探索昆虫复眼的结构和功能,嗅觉系统,神经系统的控制机制,激素的化学结构,扑翼模式和在昆虫的飞行过程的能源消耗特征等。
(2)建立数学模型。根据昆虫的特点及量化和模式化技术,提供硬件模型建立的基础的数学量化建模方法已得到开发。该模型可以用于研究跳跃昆虫六肢的弯曲指数,飞行昆虫翅膀的振动频率,筑巢昆虫巢穴的三维参数等。
(3)构建硬件模型。就是并置和嵌入模块化的产品来制造基于数学模型参数或昆虫模型的仿生产品,如跳跃机器人,飞行器配件和地面速度测量表。
用于研究和仿生学的昆虫物种主要是蝴蝶,飞蛾,苍蝇,蜜蜂、瓢虫、蜻蜓、跳蚤。并且随着昆虫仿生和其他相关学科的发展,越来越多的昆虫将成为研究对象。最近,研究昆虫仿生主要是与物理结构、器官结构和功能,行为,激素,声音,巢穴结构相关的,研究应用主要是与仿生结构和功能相关,分子仿生学、能源仿生学,信息与控制仿生,声学仿生学相关的(李等 .,2004)。进一步的研究需要探索新的材料和领域。
