In China, locoweed is distributed in high altitude areas, where natural environment is severe and ecology is fragile. The root system of locoweed is highly advanced. Germination and growth doesn't stop until a excavation depth of 10 cm is reached, so the effect is not optimal. Furthermore, a large area of locoweed removal consumes human resource and damages vegetation, and very likely causes desertification of grassland, making it hard to restore the vegetation.
