In the health food as a raw material, vitamin C (VC) have a powerful antioxidant activity is a known fact. If decreased the VC content in health foods, was found to have induced gastric mucosal injury. In the process of continue to be developed, that may be leading to Helicobacter Pylori (HP) infection and gastric cancer. (EUO) have been reported to prevention of gastric injury in VC deficient diet process. It extracts showed induced oxidative stress were elucidated by prevention of DNA adducts and strand breaks, regulated parts of BrdU-uptake, 8-OhdG, ssDNA and the TUNEL reaction. Results suggested that the EUO extracts may contribute to the prevention of oxidative gastric injury that precedes carcinogenesis, although the active components are unclear in currently. |

It has been well known that among the raw materials of the healthy food, vitamin C (VC) has a strong antioxidant activity. If the VC content is reduced in the healthy food, gastric mucosa would be damaged. And the further it goes, it will result in a helicobacter pylori (HP) infection or gastric cancer. EUO has been reported to have a function of preventing the stomach from damages due to the lack of VC. And it has been declared that the EUO extracts can prevent fracture of DNA during the adduct actions, and partially adjust the function of BrdU, 8-OHdG, ssDNA and TUNEL. The results show that, though the active components have not been comfirmed, the EUO extracts may be helpful to prevent the stomach from cancerization due to the oxidative damage actions. |

| It is well known that vitamin C (VC) has strong antioxidant activity among the various raw materials for healthy food. A reduced amount of VC in healthy food can lead to gastric mucosal lesion, and even helicobacter pylori (HP) infection or gastric cancer in continuous progression. EUO has shown its ability to prevent gastric lesion caused by the lack of VC. The EUO extracts can prevent the fracture of DNA during the adduct reaction, and partially adjust BrdU, 8-OHdG, ssDNA and TUNEL. The results show that, though the active components have not been identified, the EUO extracts may be helpful to prevent gastric cancerization due to the oxidative damage. |
