Optical diagnostics refer to the diagnostic techniques based on the optical properties of the material to be tested, which can be characterized by the combination of qualitative and quantitative structural analysis. Up to now, optical diagnostics have been widely applied to numerous areas such as industrial production, space exploration, biology, and health care, and reasonably good accomplishments have been obtained. Especially with the application of new sensors having special capabilities resulting from the rapid development of semiconductor and computer technology, more and more miniaturized and intelligentized photoelectric diagnostic apparatus utilizing these novel sensors have emerged.
