Filling the concrete to steel pipe to form steel pipe concrete built-up structure can brought the high-strength tension and good ductility merit of steel as well as concrete's high compressive strength and high rigidity superiority into full play and conquer both the defects of concrete and steel because at a time when steel-pipe-concrete-column became the pressured column, the lateral deformation difference of concrete and steel will form a ring framed ferrule effect that will make the concrete under a three dimension stress state and increase the strength and deformation properties of the concrete ,and ,at the same time ,the presence of infilled concrete will prevent inner buckling failure of the steel pipe.
