题目：Woven baskets characterized by a particular distinctive pattern have previously been found only in the immediate vicinity of the prehistoric village of Palea and therefore were believed to have been made only by the Palean people. Recently, however, archaeologists discovered such a "Palean" basket in Lithos, an ancient village across the Brim River from Palea. The Brim River is very deep and broad, and so the ancient Paleans could have crossed it only by boat, and no Palean boats have been found. Thus it follows that the so-called Palean baskets were not uniquely Palean. Write a response in which you discuss what specific evidence is needed to evaluate the argument and explain how the evidence would weaken or strengthen the argument. 正文： The archeaologists did discover the Palean baskets in Lithos which locates at the opposite side of the Brim River .Based on these limited evidence ,the writer conclude that the so-called Palean baskets is not uniquely Palean .We may accept part of the writer’s opinion ,however it is illogical and partial because some alternative explanation will weaken the argument . The passage gives the evidence that the Brim River is very deep and broad .Nevertheless the author has not mentioned sufficient information about the Brim river in ancient era .It is widely known that the natural characteristics always changes according to the geographic factors such as the climate ,glacier ,continent moving and etc. The Brim River could be rushed deeper and more broaden with time went by and its water quantity might has increased for 100 times since the ancient years .Maybe it was just a valet in the past .Without enough information being put , we can’t make the conclusion hastily. Accompanying with the query on the river , the statement that Paleans only could cross through the river by boats is apparently not convincing .Based on my first explanation , the boats might be not necessary for Paleans to get through the river .If the river was shallow and narrow at the ancient time ,the Paleand could cross it by foot or by primitive bridge. So the boats might be not compulsory. Setting the query on the river and the method to cross the river aside , the wirer puts forwards the evidence that Palean baskets has been discovered by archeaologists in Lithos which stands on the opposite side of the Brim River from Palea. However , the question about how the baskets can be found in Lithos has been clarified .The unearth of baskets may be not closely related to the facts that the Lithos had the skill or material to wove the baskets .In another word , they might trade for it with the Paleans ，if the paleans did have the chance to cross the Brim river. If we take all these aspects into consideration , it is not difficult fot us imaging that the Palean baskets might be uniquely made in Palea .The argument’s evidence is not completely persuasive to support speaker’s conclusion. . |

| The archeaologists indeed discovered the Palean baskets in Lithos which was located at the opposite side of the Brim River .Based on these limited evidences ,the writer concluded that the so-called Palean baskets were not unique for Palean. Though part of the authors' opinions can be reasonable, logically some alternative explanations may weaken this argument to some degree. |
