We are looking for undergraduate students/graduate students with the engineering and physics background. A theoretical and/or experimental background in optics/photonics is required. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enjoy a dynamic environment, and enjoy working with other people. Funding opportunities are also available for suitable candidates. If you are interested, you can contact Prof. Zhu through email zhu3@clemson.edu Our research topics: High power, high brightness diode lasers and fiber lasers Generate, modulate, switch and delay light using optical nanostructures in semiconductor (InP, GaAs, and Si) and polymer materials Optical forces in the nanoscale structures Optical periodic structures and coupled resonators About Clemson University CLEMSON Clemson University is the 22nd best national public university in the country, according to the annual ranking by U.S.News & World Report. In a new category Clemson also received recognition as a school to watch. Clemson is No. 2 among national public universities in the "up and coming" category as "a college that has recently made striking improvements or innovations, a school everyone should be watching", according to the magazine. |
