[求助] 投稿Elsevier期刊，编辑回邮件了，有不明白的地方，请大家帮忙看看~ 已有7人参与

前几天投了一篇文章，Elsevier期刊，编辑先用iThenticate软件进行查重，发现和我之前发表的一篇文章有些重复的地方，就发了一封邮件，有两段话我不太明白，请大家看看什么意思，谢谢啦！
1. Whilst we accept there are a limited number of ways to write about a given topics, we would have expected this previous publication to have been included in the references, if only to reduce the repetition that is evident in this manuscript regarding methods etc.
2. We would be grateful if you and your co-authors would consider whether this publication should have been included in the references, and make any changes necessary to the content as currently presented before re-submission to xxx.

虽然我们接受你的稿子，但是要说明的是，关于你的论题以往有些许相关的研究，我们希望这些研究能加到你的参考文献中，这样会减少你的文章中关于方法等说明的重复。
2. We would be grateful if you and your co-authors would consider whether this publication should have been included in the references, and make any changes necessary to the content as currently presented before re-submission to xxx.
作者们如果能够在重新提交之前将之前发表的文章引用到参考文献中，并且对容做必要的修改那是最好不过了！
个人感觉，审稿人做过相关的研究，希望你把他的研究放到参考文献里面，在求你，你可别不给面子啊
