Picture 1 is the UV-Vis absorption spectra of DT-1 in hexane solution(C=5.0mol/L).The short lines in the picture is the absorption spectra for open-loop state. The solid line is for the steady-state and the point line for close-loop state. In hexane solution, the maximum absorption wavelength at open-loop state DT-1 (a) is 272nm. Under the irradiation of the UV at a wavelength of 254nm, the colorless solution turned into blue. The absorbance at the maximum absorption wavelength became weaker and weaker as irradiation time grows. While between wavelengths of 400nm to 700nm, an especially strong wide absorption appeared and become stronger and stronger. The corresponding close-loop DT-1(b) generated (structure refers to scheme 1) with a maximum absorption wavelength of 575nm. Under the irradiation of a visible light with an appropriate wavelength (¦Ë>500 nm), the colored state can return to colorless state. Under the irradiation of visible lights with wavelength between 400nm to 700nm, the featured absorption light at closed-loop state disappeared completely and the maximum absorption wavelength in UV region returned to 272nm. This shows that DT-1(b) changed back to DT-1(a), and so repeatedly colored and faded for dozens of times, the absorption point in both open-loop state and closed-loop state can be observed respectively at wavelength 295nm. This shows that this compound has the excellent fatigue-resistance character in hexane solution. The dynamics of photo chromic character as well as its security application in nano-fibers an so on of this compound will be further studied.

Figure 1 shows  UV-Vis absorption spectrum of DT-1 in hexane solution(C=5.0mol/L). In Fig.1, the short line  is absorption spectrum of open-loop state, while those of steady-state and close-loop state are described as the solid line and the dot line seperately.The maximum absorption wavelength in open-loop state DT-1 (a) is 272nm in hexane solution. When the wavelength of UV is 254nm, the colorless solution becomes blue. As irradiation time increases. the absorbing intensity at the maximum absorption wavelength decreases in open-loop state DT-1 (a); Meanwhile, a strong wide absorption peak appeared in the  range from 400nm to 700nm and its intensity increased with wavelength increasing, which the close-loop DT-1(b) was formed (the structure shown in scheme 1) with a maximum absorption wavelength of 575nm. The colorful state DT-1(b) can return to colorless by the irradiation of visible light with an appropriate wavelength (¦Ë>500 nm.The characteristics of closed-loop state disappeared by the irradiation of visible lights with wavelength range of 400nm to 700nm, and the maximum absorption wavelength in UV region returned to 272nm.The above results show that DT-1(b) reverted to DT-1(a). Even though the operation was repeated ten times, the absorption characteristics of open-loop state and closed-loop state still can be observed at the wavelength of 295nm, which suggested that the compound has excellent fatigue-resistance in hexane solution. The photo-induced-color dynamics of  the compound and its security application in nano-fibers are being studied.
