本人想申请brandeis university 生物专业，以下是essay 题目：吸引了很多来自不同地方的国际生，作为一个国际生你能够怎样使brandeis的校园更加多样化？要求少于250个字。我写了如下内容：主要有几点担心：1，我写的会不会有点跑题？2，会不会太俗了？如果改的话应该怎样去改？请各位高人指点一二，不胜感激！

“Step out of comfort zone”, the headmaster said at the morning meeting, my mind drifted away from the speech to my duties as an officer at International Student Association. After living in a school has fifty percent of its student body constructed by international student,I've learned a lot. I believe the most precious qualities I can bring to Brandeis are the willingness to step out of comfort zones and the generosity towards cultural differences.

I was born and raised in a generous, traditional, and warm-hearted Chinese family. I value human connection, and I have been always curious about the world and the people around me. That’s why I was actively involved in international activities and inclined to make friends of different cultures.Perhaps the most important skill to enrich a multicultural community is be willing to reach out for communications.

Opposite to the Conservatism valued by Chinese traditional culture, I’ve learned to reach out to communicate with different cultures. Being friendly and outgoing, I believe I can enrich the campus community by sharing my understandings of Chinese cultures.At the same time, my job also taught me to be generous. Coming from different cultures, differences in cultural values are always the greatest barrier between communications. To overcome this barrier, I’ve learned to acknowledge and respect differences in cultural values as I work with international students. Bringing this quality to Brandeis, I am sure that I can bring harmony
to the campus community.
