Thermal conductivity of different inorganic filler in styrene-butadiene rubber ( SBR)
As can be seen from the effects of each performance of adding different amount of halloysite to Benzene rubber, with the increase of the dosage of halloysite, the curing time and the scorching time of rubber compound was shorten, and mechanical property appeared an inflection point when the dosage reached to 40. This is probably because halloysite is not well distributed in SBR rubber. Therefore, it is necessary to make surface treatment on halloysite, and improve the dispersion effects of halloysite. The wear-resisting property of rubber compound decreases along with the increase of the amount of halloysite. But seen from the contrastive study on the other inorganic fillers, halloysite in the mechanical properties and the thermal conductivity is superior over other inorganic fillers, such as white carbon black, Kaolin, precipitated calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide, talcum powder and pure mica.
