Subject: PhD in condensed matter theory at Nordita Category: Job From: David Abergel Date: 11-Dec-2013 09:41 Message: Nordita, the Nordic Institute of Theoretical Physics, situated in Stockholm, Sweden, is pleased to invite applications for a graduate student appointment in Condensed Matter Theory. Please see http://www.nordita.org/people/positions/ for full details. The position includes conducting condensed matter research, interacting with colleagues and visitors at Nordita and elsewhere in the Nordic countries, and taking an active part in the organization of research programs and other events. Strong candidates from areas of correlated electrons, magnetism, topological states and graphene will be considered. The position will be shared with KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The salary follows the salaries for PhD students at KTH. A master’s degree, or equivalent, in physical or mathematical sciences is required, and should have been obtained no earlier than four years before the starting date of the position. The appointment will begin in January 2014 or some other date to be agreed upon. The deadline for applications is December 30th, 2013. Applications should be emailed to norditaCMBIO@gmail.com, and must contain a curriculum vitae including 3 named referees, a list of scientific publications (if applicable), a short desription of previous research (if applicable), and any other pertinent information.
