When it comes to personal relationship, we¡¯d like to think that it has nothing to do with money or income. However, when we take this issue more seriously, we¡¯ll find that income level or relative income level is really a matter within a relationship regarding to bargaining power and making financial decisions, it is especially the case for married couples.
Many people grew up in families in which father earned most of the money and made all financial decisions, mom did housework and made all decisions around the family.  Consequently, what we are experiencing is a transition because some men in our generation grew up with the expectation that they are going to make all decisions. And now they discover that they need to share their decision making.
