Graduate Research AssistantshipAnnouncement Division of Forestry and NaturalResources/Davis College West Virginia University Two assistantships are available forself-motivated doctoral graduate students in the area of nanocomposites from renewable andunderutilized raw materials. The assistantships are available on an annual basis beginning inthe Spring or Summer of 2014 with a maximum of 36 months funding support. Further supportwill be provided based on the performance of the students. The students will work onprojects related to the utilization of biomass, with emphasis in wood as raw material, for thefabrication and utilization of nanocomposites. The students will be part of the Wood Scienceand Technology program, Division of Forestry and Natural Resources, Davis College ofAgriculture, Natural Resources and Design. It is expected that the students have an undergraduate(BS) and a graduate degree (MS) in wood science; agricultural, biological or chemicalengineering; biochemical engineering, or other related area. Stipend: These research assistantshipsinclude a stipend according to West Virginia University guidelines and include a tuitionwaiver. The student is responsible for Davis College tuition and University fees.
