Ph.D. STUDENT POSITION IN MULTIFFEROICS COMPUTATIONAL MATERIALS THEORY W. M. Keck Computational Materials Theory Center A Ph.D. student position is available in the W. M. Keck Computational Materials Theory Center at California State University Northridge (http://www.csun.edu/~nkioussi/) in the area of electronic structure calculations of ferromagnetic/ferroelectric and ferromagnetic/multiferroic interfaces including switching the magnetization with electric field. Experience with first-principles electronic-structure calculations, transport theory, and computer programming is preferred. The position is available immediately and is in collaboration with UCLA, UC Berkley, Cornell University, and ETH Zurich. Initial appointment is for two to three years (based upon satisfactory performance).
