The Environmental and Sustainability Program at the University of Colorado Boulder is seeking 1-2 Ph.D students starting in Spring or Fall 2014. The students will work with Dr. Zhiyong Jason Ren on Microbial Water Desalination or Bioenergy and Bioresource Recovery Projects that are funded by federal agencies. Past research experience in membrane desalination processes, microbial fuel cells, or electrochemistry is preferred. The selected candidates will receive a competitive monthly stipend, as well as full tuition and benefits coverage. Interested applicants are encouraged to provide a 1-page cover letter, curriculum vitae, and the names of references to Dr. Ren (zhiyong.ren@colorado.edu).
