| 由于甲状腺功能不足，分泌的甲状腺素减少，原因有两个：其一，碘缺乏，食物中，特别是饮用水中缺乏碘，使合成甲状腺素缺乏原料，致甲状腺分泌减少，称地方性呆小症。其二，甲状腺缺乏或甲状腺功能障碍，使甲状腺素合成障碍，常称为散在性呆小症。主要表现为，发育迟缓、智力低下、头发粗稀、皮肤干燥、舌大腹大、声音粗哑、表情呆滞、四肢短小、出牙迟、慢、前囟闭合晚、低体温、低血压、脉搏慢、呼吸慢、进食少、基础代谢率较正常低20-50%。 |

Due to the hypothyroidism, the secretion of thyroid hormone was reduced. There were two main reasons: 1, the lack of iodine in the food especially in the water, would cause the lack of raw material for producing the thyroxine, and lead to the decrease in thyrine secretion. These cases have been called as endemic cretinism. 2, the absence or dysfunction of thyroid, would cause the impairment of production of thyroxine. And these cases have been called interspersed cretinism. The cardinal symptom includes: hypoevolutism, hypophrenia, thick and meagremean hair, xerosis cutis, hypertrophy of tongue and abdomen, gruff voice, dull expression, short limbs, late and slow teething, late anterior fontanelle close, hypothermia, hypopiesia, slow pulse and breathing, anorexia, and basal metabolic rate (BMR) 20-50% lower than normal case. 随便翻的，专业名词不对了你替换过来。头发粗稀，声音粗哑，表情呆滞是我自己写的…… 看了那么久的House，某些词汇终于派上用场了…… |
