西悉尼大学土木工程、工程材料博士奖学金开始申请,名额3人,截止9.15 已有10人参与

澳大利亚University of Western Sydney的Institute for Infrastructure Engineering (IIE)即将开始第二轮的土木工程博士奖学金申请,申请截止时间暂定为8月底(有可能推迟,本帖会及时更新)。 根据2010和2012年澳洲研究基金会(ARC)组织的两轮评估,University of Western Sydney的土木工程学科的研究水平已达到或超过国际水平。2013年QS World University Rankings by Subject将University of Western Sydney的土木工程列入世界前200强。有关IIE的情况可通过下列网址进一步了解:http://uws.edu.au/iie 获得该奖学金后无需缴纳学费,每年生活费$24,653,外加健康保险($2,600),并提供参加学术会议和其他研究所需经费。 申请人英语水平要求:雅思总分最低6.5,单科最低6。托福网考成绩总分最低89,写作单科最低21,其他单科最低18。其他可替代的成绩具体见:http://www.uws.edu.au/internatio ... anguage_requirement 申请基本条件: 1. 已获得工学硕士学位 2. 英语成绩满足上述要求(无法豁免,除非能证明研究生阶段为英语授课,如在国外拿的硕士学位;如其他方面都很优秀,提供合格的英语成绩也许可推迟几个月) 3. 本科平均成绩72分或以上 申请人应满足以上基本条件。但由于奖学金申请竞争较为激烈,申请人本科平均成绩最好能达到79分或以上,在同等条件下,如有期刊或会议论文发表在分配奖学金时将获优先考虑。 A/Prof. Zhong Tao (http://www.uws.edu.au/staff_prof ... rofessor_zhong_tao) 是澳洲ARC的首批Future Fellow (2009年获得),他已发表期刊论文100余篇,其中包括高影响因子的SCI英文期刊论文近50篇。近年来A/Prof. Zhong Tao已获得3项ARC的基金资助,总资助经费超过150万澳币。他在IIE已组建了一个良好的研究团队(博士后1名、博士生4名),现主要从事钢-混凝土组合结构和结构抗火研究,并在开拓新的研究方向。 申请人如有土木工程或建筑材料的研究背景,并愿意加入A/Prof. Zhong Tao的研究团队,可和他取得联系: z.tao@uws.edu.au +61 2 4736 0064 联系时请附上个人简历、本科成绩单和英语成绩证明。 [ Last edited by tttttt on 2013-8-9 at 17:07 ] |

The Institute expands engineering research beyond civil engineering and electronic engineering into the areas of structural systems, computational mechanics, construction materials, and structural health monitoring. The IIE has a high level of research expertise and well-equipped research facilities. The IIE is home to one of Australia's best laboratories for independent testing and monitoring for the construction and manufacturing industries. IIE invites applications from highly motivated graduates seeking to undertake PhD projects in one of the four research programs. Preference will be given to applicants with research experience and publications. What does a Scholarship at IIE provide? Up to 3 scholarships are available Tax free stipend of up to $34,653 per annum for up to 3 years and a funded place in the doctoral degree for domestic students. Outstanding international applicants with a strong track record will receive: tax free stipend of $24,653 per annum for up to 3 years fee waiver scholarship valued at over $24,000 per annum for up to 3 years up to $2,600 toward the cost of an Overseas Student Health Care policy International applicants must also demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the English language.
