Wow, frankly speaking, I almost lurk every day. When I start my computer, and the first thing I do is to log in the QQ or MSN. But I will set the mode as "invisible". But I don't think this is the sign of being aged in mentality.
As you all know, if you always show up, and many strangers want to join you and chat with you. In fact, chatting there will waste a lot of time, sometimes, you just stay there to listen a stranger's unsatisfaction about the world, about his or her life, about his or her feelings. Then, you will find you are influenced by his or her pessimistic emotions. If you spend so much time and just want to get this, then I have nothing to say. But this is not what I want to get. During this time, I can surfer the Internet to get something I'm interested in and learn something, know something new, but not kill my life by that way.
But of course, you can also find some good friends, but the probability is so small. So I prefer to lurk when I'm online. And QQ and MSN has become a place where I connect with my friends, my classmates, my colleagues. I'm satisfied with such kind of communication.
I'm still young in mentality, at least I think so. Well, just walk on my own way, and let others tell. |
