Postdoctoral Position in Two-dimensional Materials : Nanyang Technological Unive

Applications are invited for multiple postdoctoral positions in Dr. Zheng Liu’s lab at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Any applicant with a Ph.D degree in the related subjects (physics, applied physics, chemistry, engineering, material science, etc) will be considered. The successful applicants will be expected to work on the following research areas: (1) Chemical vapor deposition of two-dimensional materials such as graphene, hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN), transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs: MoS2, WSe2 etc). Synthesis of ternary two-dimensional materials such as h-BNC, diluted magnetic doped TMDs. (2) Two-dimensional materials based device fabrication and measurement. The candidates should have experience on fabrications and measurement of field-effect transistors (FETs). Background at Hall bar and spin-related devices measurement will be a plus. (3) Optoelectronic applications of graphene, h-BN and TMDs, including h-BN based far ultraviolet (FUV) emitter, energy harvest using two-dimensional materials and their hybridizations, smart coatings. The positions will start as early as September 2013. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the positions are filled.
