Postdoctoral Openings 已有4人参与

There are two postdoctoral openings this Fall. A brief description of each of these projects is shown below. 1) Molecular Umbrella-Amphotericin B Conjugates. This program involves the synthesis of series of molecular umbrella-Amphotericin B conjugates, a characterization of their transport and membrane recognition measurements using model systems, and also hemolytic and cytotoxicity measurements. For a recent review, see: Janout, V.; Regen, S. L. Bioconjugate Chem., 20, 183-192 (2009). A strong background in organic synthesis is preferred. 2) Hyper-thin Membranes for Separating H2 From CO2. This program is aimed at creating <100 nm-thick membranes having potential utility for the separation hydrogen from carbon dioxide. The research involves organic synthesis and extensive use of gas permeation measurements, atomic force microscopy, ellipsometry, surface viscosity, Langmuir-Blodgett and layer-by-layer depositions. For a recent publication in this area, see: Wang, M.; Janout, V.; Regen, S. L., Chem Comm., 47, 2387-2389 (2011). A strong background in physical organic, polymer and/or materials chemistry is preferred. Steven L.
