4.Maintenance Screen is an additional trash screen that is supplied with each cooling tower that is placed in the sump opening when the normal trash screen is removed for cleaning.

5.The suction bell diameter is critical in determining the sump size. The suction bell diameter (D), distance from the suction bell to the sump floor (C), minimum water depth in the sump (H), pump spacing (S), and other sump dimensions are calculated according to the method specified in Section 6 of this standard. A short radius suction bell fitting shall be used.
