Post-doctoral position in Vehicle Aerodynamics 网址:http://www.kth.se/en/om/work-at- ... rodynamics-1.394769 Description A post-doctoral position in Vehicle Aerodynamics is offered at KTH Aeronautical and Vehicle Engineering www.ave.kth.se starting September 2013. The successful applicant will be employed for two years to work on how a future low-drag and crosswind stable vehicle should look like via advanced numerical simulations (CFD/DES) and vehicle dynamics simulations. The work will be performed within the Centre for ECO2 Vehicle Design, www.eco2vehicledesign.kth.se. Within the position, advanced simulation tools for vehicle aerodynamics, so called Detached Eddy Simulations (DES), will be used together with vehicle dynamics simulations to investigate how a future low-drag and crosswind stable vehicle can look like. A goal of the project is to develop a full coupling simulation technique between the aerodynamic loads and moments and the vehicle dynamics simulations. Within the project work, the simulation technique will used to perform studies on the influence of different vehicle shapes and vehicle dynamics properties on vehicles crosswind stability. The project will cover research issues in computational vehicle aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics, wind engineering as well as design of sustainable vehicles. The position does not entail teaching or supervision responsibilities. Applicants should: Have a PhD in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, numerical analysis or similar Have a solid knowledge of numerical simulations of the incompressible or compressible Navier-Stokes equations. Have experience in using commercial CFD software. Have a solid knowledge of Detached Eddy Simulation (DES) preferably or Large Eddy Simulation (LES). Have knowledge and experience of High Performance Computing (HPC). Have insight into the requirements to perform accurate simulations. Be highly motivated and independent. Knowledge in vehicle dynamics is a merit. The center invites applications for postdoctoral position in the theme area of medical & healthcare monitoring. Post-doc in printed flexible bio-sensors for medical & healthcare monitoring: The successful candidate will be engaged in projects on intelligent flexible biomedical electronics focusing on printed flexible bio-sensing devices and interfaces, ultra-low power biomedical sensing/detecting circuits design and implementation, bio-signal processing, advanced biomedical circuits and systems, and medical information systems. The research in these projects is carried out in close collaboration with Swedish industry partners, and the outcome is expected to be of high international quality and applied to industrial practices. Therefore, the successful applicants will be working in close contact with the iPack partners, and will also be involved in the iPack innovation and commercialization process. In addition to high quality basic and applied research your work will include project management, coordination of project applications at the Swedish and European level, and teaching at the graduate level on topics related to the iPack area of research. Like the rest of us in the center you have a passion for developing cutting edge technology and are excited by the opportunity of developing something that will have potential to be used in industrial products. You are structured in your work and enjoy collaborating in small groups to generate creative and simple solutions to complex problems. Also, it is a merit to have expertise on the following areas: Extensive experience in printed electronics with material synthesis focusing on the composites of carbon nano-tube (CNT)/conducting polymers, printing and curing process, and material characterization. Extensive knowledge in flexible printed CNT based device design, printing/manufacturing and characterization. Experience with the flexible bio-sensing devices and interface circuits. Experience with design, implementation and test of circuits realized by using flexible printed devices. Practical experience with semiconductor device process and equipment and hands-on knowledge in clean room. Qualifications The applicant holds a PhD degree in electrical engineering or related areas, with specialization in low power circuits and system, or (and) RFID and wireless sensing, electronics for biomedical applications. Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and a team player. Ability to independently conduct research in collaboration with industrial partners. The applicant has a good command of English in writing and speaking. He or she is expected to present research results in top conferences and journals.
