The Journal Of The Brazilian Chemical Society embraces all aspects of chemistry except education, philosophy and history of chemistry. It is a medium for reporting selected original and significant contributions to new chemical knowledge. The journal publishes Articles , Communications , Short Reports , Reviews and Letters . The JBCS is published monthly and freely by the Sociedade Brasileira de Química . Typescripts submitted to the journal are analysed by ad hoc referees. Publication of the Journal Of The Brazilian Chemical Society is in the charge of the Editors , and its policy and planning are the responsibility of the Editorial Advisory Board . Its abbreviated title is J. Braz. Chem. Soc., which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes and bibliographical references and strips. Articles published by the JOURNAL OF THE BRAZILIAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY are abstracted or indexed in: Science Citation Index Science Citation Index Expanded (SciSearch) ISI Alerting Services Chemistry Citation Index Current Contents/Physical, Chemical and Earth Sciences Chemical Abstracts - CAplus. SciELO Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if accepted for publication, copyright of the article shall be assigned to the Sociedade Brasileira de Química. Copyright encompasses exclusive rights to reproduce and deliver the article in all form and media, including reprints, photographs, microfilms and any other similar reproductions, as well as translations.
