[交流] My daughter's naive story-3

It seems series 3 is missing, and here is one.

Because sugar is not good for health, my wife does not allow my daughter to have any sweetis cookies, and carbohydrate drinks. And my daughter is used to it. But no sweets family rule sometimes drive us into some embarrassed situations. The following is one example.

One day, we took our 3 year old daughter to a babecue party. The party was organized on the seashore.  In the party, she made a good friend with another Chinese girl called Siu who was ca. 5 yrs old. And of course, Siu's parents were good friends of us.

I think they played together very well  while we adult  were chatting and eating not far away from them.

Well, suddenly I saw that the two kids began arguing. Becuase that was kid's problem, it was not good for us adult promptly interfere with. So I just pretended seeing nothing. Finally these two kids came to us for the judgement.

My daughter said" Siu gave me some sweets, and I rejected. But Siu insists, what Can I do, Mom? "
Siu followed" yes, becaues I think she is my good friend, so I would like to share my favorite sweets, but she refused to have!!!"

Then both of the two kids began to cry, one because she didn't know what she should do, the other because she felt her warm-heart was hurt. Ohhh~~~~ WWWu---

So my wife had to try her best to explain to Siu and her parents about our family rules of no sweets. Siu's parents could understand, but Siu didn't. Yeah,  how can a kid resist the temptation of sweets?

What would you like to do when you are in such situation? Let your kid have some sweets or still firmly keep the family rule no broken?

However, probably Siu's parents also decided to give no sweets to Siu after this experience. Several months later, after we had another party, my daughter whispered  on my ears one of her secrect on our way home" Daddy, Siu told me that she doesn't eat sweets anymore."
