| Jean Marie Gustave Le Clézio, a leading figure of modern French literature circle, is one of the representative writers of French New-fable school in the later half of 20th century. In 2008, Jean Marie Gustave Le Clézio won the Nobel prize for literature. In announcing the award, the Swedish Academy said that "Multi-culture, humanity and courageous spirit are tactfully integrated into his works. As a writer with creativity, poetic adventure and emotional ecstasy, Jean Marie Gustave Le Clézio has explored the humanity that floats outside of the western mainstream culture and exists in the bottom of the society." Jean Marie Gustave Le Clézio's works are full of connotations and often focus on the lives and mental activities of the weak group living in the margins of society. His protagonists who are always in the state of roaming and with a particular characteristic of margination, long for escape and freedom. |

| Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, one of the French new fable representative writers in the latter half of the 20th century, is today one of the leaders of the French literary world. In 2008, Le Clézio won the Nobel Prize for Literature, and in the award decision the Swedish Academy said, Clezio made mamulticulturalism, human nature and the spirit of adventure into the creation, and he was a good at innovation, liking the writer of poetic adventure and emotional ecstasy, and in his works he explored the humanity which drifted away from mainstream western civilization and the bottom of society. The contents of Le Clézio's works are rich in connotation, and pay more attention to the margins of the life and psychology of social weak groups. In his works, most of the heroes with the unique characteristics of the marginalized are in a wandering state, and they are eager to escape, as wellas the desire for freedom. |
