The above referenced manuscript was recently submitted to Waste Management with a view to publication and was sent for peer review. Based on the comments and recommendations received from the reviewers and on my review of your manuscript, I regret to inform you that we are not in a position to accept your manuscript for publication in Waste Management in its current form. However, I feel that the paper contains information of potential interest to readers of Waste Management. Therefore, I wish to invite you to address all points raised by reviewers, taking all time you may deem necessary, and to resubmit a new version of the paper to the journal via the EES system. It should be underlined that the paper would not be considered as a revised version but as a new manuscript, and would once again be forwarded to the peer-review process. If you elect to submit a new manuscript, then should must (1) list the original manuscript in the cover letter, (2) include a point by point response to the reviewer's comments, and (3) submit the revised manuscript within 6 months of the date of this letter. It should be that the paper will not be considered as a revised version but as a new manuscript, and would once again be forwarded to the peer-review process.
