| When the local concentration of the SCF-mediated c-kit receptor on the cell membrane surface reaches a certain value, the adjacent D4s will overcome the electrostatic repulsion and combine into the D4-D4 form. The transverse D4-D4 and D5-D5 interaction may accumulate and stablize the two adjacent membrane proximal external regions of the c-kit extracellular domain. |
