As can be seen from the microstructure of the interface between the coating and the substrate in the three samples, it shows a high defect rate, which has a significant effect on damping.
So the complicated damping temperature dependence of the coating system could be attributed to the interface microstructure between the coating and the substrate.
Samples with various microstructures at the interface between the coating and the substrate were designed in this paper and the effect of interface microstructure on damping were analyzed.
