关于response letter的问题~~急求

投了一个wiley的期刊，wiley的期刊好像不是不像elsevier的一样返回修改稿的时候上传文档有response letter 这个选项。想问一下都是怎么处理的？ wiley的主编返回意见的时候意见如下，求问第二句话的理解： Please make the appropriate modifications to the manuscript as suggested and outline these modifications in the cover letter. （是指代cover letter 中直接写回复意见吧?由于这个期刊的cover letter 好像不是生成于pdf中，这样如果返回审稿人重审就看不到回复了） When submitting your revised manuscript, you will be able to respond to the comments made by the referee(s) in the space provided. You can use this space to document any changes you make to the original manuscript. （这句话不是很懂） |

Please make the appropriate modifications to the manuscript as suggested and outline these modifications in the cover letter. （是指代cover letter 中直接写回复意见吧?由于这个期刊的cover letter 好像不是生成于pdf中，这样如果返回审稿人重审就看不到回复了） 楼主正解，要求针对审稿意见作出到位的修改，并在cover letter中注明所做修改。 When submitting your revised manuscript, you will be able to respond to the comments made by the referee(s) in the space provided. You can use this space to document any changes you make to the original manuscript. （这句话不是很懂） 当返回修改稿时，你可以在提供的空白处针对审稿意见进行回复，你可以在空白处列出你针对原始稿件所做的任何修改。 |

When submitting your revised manuscript, you will be able to respond to... 是不是指像批注一样的在revised manuscript上批注所做的改变？ 另外， 我把修改的内容标注为红色应该没有问题吧 另外，小编还有一句话有些迷糊 （编辑发过一个peer review的pdf 上面的标注是审稿人3给的意见所要修改的地方） The attached marked up copy is associated with Reviewer 3 and thus your responses to the edits/queries on the attached should come under the heading of Reviewer 3. |
