[交流] How to improve writing in English?

thanks the EC, i joined this part several days , its really a good platform to improve my English and share some fantastic thoughts with chongyou. because of my poor English , sometimes ,when i want to respond to the post,but its terrible that i dont know how to express which makes me crazy!also i am happyness when i reading perfect passage and personal thought. can you share your means of improving English writing!thank you for your sharing!

May2012: 金币+8, this method is quite pratical....but I\'m so lazy, I don\'t like writing, no matter in Chinese or in English...so dear brother, could you tell me how to improve the writing ability of a lazy person like me...:jok: 2013-03-20 16:17:16

I think, the following may work,
i) try to memorize more words, so it will become possible for you to write,
ii) read more, and try to learn from these materials,
iii) try to use the words you remembered, to remember does not mean you can use these words, and
iv) read a passage, then close the book, try to write a passage with the same meaning, after you finish, open the book again, find the difference between the original writing and yours, this way, you will find how an experienced person write, what words and sentences they use, then write the passage again, by doing this, you will improve your writing ability.
