我国的秸秆等农林废弃物木质纤维素资源丰富，以此为原料代替粮食生产燃料乙醇，对缓解我国的石油短缺和环境污染问题及促进经济和社会的可持续发展，都具有重要意义。本课题对小麦秸秆的丙酸法预处理、主要组分的降解动力学、粗纤维的同步糖化发酵、半纤维素制备低聚木糖以及木质素基活性炭的制备和吸附特性等关键技术进行了系统研究。
翻译：The resources of straws and agricultural and sorestry residues are abundant in China，and they are of great significace in the alleviation of oil shortages and environment pollution problems，as well as the promotion of sustainable development of economy and society provided that they are applied to the production of fuel ethanol as an alternation for grain in our nation. A systematic research was given on the pretreatment of wheat straw using propionic acid，the degradation kinetics of its main components ,the simultaneous saccharification and fermentation of tcrude fibre ，the production of xylo-oligosaccharides from hemicellulose, the preparation and adsorption of lignin-based activated carbon and some other key technical problems in this topic. |
