winter_north: ½ð±Ò+6, Thank you for sharing facts in your hometown in southern China. In fact, the cubic houses abound in northern China at present. Some houses like those in the pictures were built before WWII, so, sometimes I wonder why they can build so beautiful houses so many years ago, while our folks are still building ugly structures after nearly 100 years? 2013-02-12 10:17:38

i like the pictures you photoed.the houses are very beautiful£¬and the air£¬the cloud£¬the trees£¬the lawn£¬the colour of the house in there are so harmonious. i am in a small village at south china.house in my hometown have changed very much.back to ten years all houses in my hometown are alike.looking like a cube plus a cap on.the structure was very popular£¬because it is convenient.it looks like our economical housing in city£¬no personality and always two and half floors. these years people become more and more richer.some of them built the house s which look like palace.the houses are become more beautiful£¬but the environment become more bad . winter_north: ½ð±Ò+3, Too often, I think Siheyuan reflects the classification in a family, the primary building is for the master of this family, in the history, the side buildings are for children and servants. I think, as times goes on, we need modifications of the traditional structure. 2013-02-12 22:49:37

I'm always curious about the Siheyuan, because I only have seen it in some TV plays...but I like the American houses very much... the environment is harmonious, the colors are rich, the structure is humanizing... |
