Job Title: Sales Engineer Location: Chengdu Job Description Primary Function To expand our business in China, we are looking for a proven performer to fill a sales engineer position in Chengdu. The successful candidate will be responsible for all sales activities in mid-west regions. This person will work with current sales team regional channel partners in China. Activities will include generating leads, recommending/attending trade shows and seminars, product demos, presentations, and customer support. This includes account and third party management. Key Responsibility: • Responsible for achieving business objectives – sales targets • The complete sales cycle from lead generation to after sales support and services • Indirectly manage own resources and directly manage local channels • Implement sales plans and programs • Establish and maintain communication and relation with customers • Understand customer needs, gain customer feedback and improve customer satisfaction Major Qualification: • Good level of knowledge of the AFM, NI and some level of SEM markets in China • Understand the competitors of these products in China • Experience or knowledge in field selling in research like universities and government laboratories is essential and in industry like companies and factories is desirable • Demonstrate customer-first and sales result focus orientation • University degree (s) is preferable • Good communication and relationship building skills • Some English proficiency is required • At least three years of experience of selling scientific instruments, preferably with a SPM/AFM and/or NI |
