We had the similar food in my hometown when I was young. It was made from the so called Nangkeng. Very tasty and popular.
Now people have lots of choices, and it is difficult to see Nang on the streets.
There are many Indian restaurants in the U.K. Their main food is Nang or rice. But their Nang is quite different.
Pissa is better than Indian Nang, although I get bored with Pissa now

Are you from Xinjiang? In fact, Nang, especially when it is hot, really tastes good for me.

No, I am from Hubei. I only saw Nangkeng in Hubei
I am in UK now. The pissa here is perhaps cheaper than in China

No, it is like a Bingzi in hinterland, without sugar in it. It is a kind of zhushi (staple food?) in Xinjiang and the surrounding area.
