Now what is important for students of science to note is that relativity in judging motion or in judging arguments does not mean lack of objectivity. A scientist or any person investigating a problem needs to have standards as to what counts as a proof or what counts as a reasonable argument. The standards are in part given by how things cohere with the world, as found out by observation and experiment, and displayed in the evidence.
对于理工科学生而言，值得重点注意的是，评判运动和论证过程中的相对性并不意味着就缺乏客观性。无论是科学家还是普通人，在研究问题时都需要一套相关的标准，即哪些能够作为证据，或那些能作为一个合理的论证过程。而标准的来源在部分意义上而言，是要通过说明事物与世界是如何相互联系的，可以通过观察和试验，并运用证据予以演示。
