Cells and tissues: HeLa and 293-kidney cancer cell lines, and NHF
cells, were stored as pellets at 808 C until extraction. Lung tissue
samples were obtained from patients with lung carcinoma. The di-
agnosis of each tissue sample was histologically determined by a
pathologist. All surgical specimens were kept at 808 C until ex-
traction. Cell pellets and tissue samples were lysed by using the
CHAPS Lysis buffer (Intergren Co.).
