[求助] 跪求指点：编辑让把research paper改为 short communication，但学校规定。。。

如题：现在ecological engineering 上投了一篇research paper，2审稿意见没什么大问题，但主编和编辑comment如下：
主编：Reviewers and I have now commented on your paper. You will see that we are advising that you revise your manuscript. If you are prepared to undertake the work required, I would be pleased to reconsider my decision.
For your guidance, reviewers' comments are appended below.
If you decide to revise the work, please submit a list of changes or a rebuttal against each point which is being raised when you submit the revised manuscript.

编辑：Editor's comments:
I am willing to consider your paper if you willing to resubmit it as a Short Communication. Short Communications are less than or equal to 10 manuscript pages, double-spaced, with no more than 4 Figures + Tables.

另外, 问了几个SCI人，他们说可以达到research，原文共有4个图，5个表，我认为都很重要，共计8500字。学校规定：毕业及科研奖励只算article和review，请问大家是不是我如果再按researchpaper修改完投过去，是不是肯定被拒了？
