Ou r synthesis strategy relies on self-catalytic growth of Cu nanowires within a liquid-crystalline medium of HDA and cetyltriamoni-num bromide (CTAB). HDA and CTAB are fi rst mixed at elevated temperature to form a liquid-crystalline medium. Upon addition of the precursor, copper acetylacetonate [Cu(acac) 2 ], ultralong nanowires with excellent dispersibility form sponta-neously within the medium in the presence of a catalytic Pt surface. |

Ò²¿ÉÒÔ¹Ø×¢ÕâƪElectrochemical synthesis of copper nanowires еķ½·¨£¬¾ÍÊDZȽϷ±Ëö¡£ The potentiostatic ECD of the copper nanowires was performed in a conventional three-electrode bath containing a mixture of 0.2 M CuSO 4¡¤5H2 O and 0.1 M H 3 BO3aqueoussolutions. The pH of the solution was controlled in the range 4.5¨C5.0 by adding 0.1 M H 2 SO4solution. A glassy carbon plate and a saturated calomel electrode (SCE) were used as counter-electrode and reference electrode, respectively. The copper ECD was carried out at different applied potentials ( −0 .15, −0 .30, and −0 .45 V, SCE) for 20¨C30 min at room temperature to prepare the copper nanowires. After the ECD, the upper parts of the samples were polished by using a 50 nm SiC polishing sandpaper in order to remove the copper particles that had grown excessively and stuck on the sample surface. Then the PAA template with copper nanowires was washed with ethanol and de-ionized water in turn, and dried in air before characterization |
