申请western ontario时遇到教授反套，请各位虫友帮忙看看

小虫10月15号左右申请的western ontario，当时陶瓷了一位教授，回复我鼓励申请。学校是2-4周的评审时间。今天早上收到邮件，一位做 chemistry and materials development under extreme conditions 的华人教授主动联系我，希望我加入他们组，以下是信件内容： We have just received your application for graduate study at Department of Chemistry of University of Western Ontario, Canada. I believe that you have demonstrated very good potentials for some research areas. I understand that your primary interest is polymer chemistry and nanomaterials. Although the research in my group does not involve polymers, we do work on nanomaterials a lot. In particular, my research program covers a much wider area of materials study under extreme conditions such as high pressures. Furthermore, we use synchrotron and local spectroscopic apparatus to characterize material structures extensively (i.e., more characterization than synthesis). Our current research themes represent a novel interdisciplinary frontier with important implications and applications. One of the projects is to fabricate nanostructured materials (such as TiO2) and to examine the structures and properties under high pressures and other physical conditions. More details can be found from my research website with the link at the end of my signature line. I therefore wonder if you are interested in any of the projects so we can go from there. Please let me know if you have any questions. 我看了他们组的主页，发现研究方向不是很吻合，我是做纳米材料的制备及tio2光催化性质的，而这个老板是做物化的，差别有点大。而且网上压根没有他的cv，看不到他的背景介绍，组里也全是中国人。 不知道该不该从了他，如果我同意加入到他们组，拿到offer到时候要是不去会不会不好。如果我拒了他，那还有可能拿到offer么 |
