The Lu lab at the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, College of Public Health at University of Georgia is looking for motivated PhD students. The overarching goal of his research is to better understand the toxicological effects of environmental exposures and individual responses by combining systems-level Omics approaches and targeted biomarker methods. Students in chemistry, microbiology, biological sciences, environmental sciences, toxicology, or other related fields are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to the candidates already with a master's degree. Previous experience or knowledge on handling animals, DNA sequencing, metagenomics, cell culture, gas or liquid chromatography, metabolomics, proteomics, mass spectrometry will be a plus.
