14. A formal supplier management program exists, detailing the process for supplier selection and on-going management of key suppliers. Metrics exist to track supplier quality, cost and service level. Procurement practices “smart buying”. This involves balancing parts purchase cost with service life cost, quality, standardization and other demands. Analyses of parts performance through a re3view of tasks recorded on work orders will be an important tool. Contractual performance standards for service, delivery, emergency response, etc. are clearly defined and are tracked for key suppliers Order fill rate percentage; on-time delivery and emergency response time are examples of suitable metrics. |
