It is recognized that design and maintenance processes have a significant impact on reliability. The biggest single effect on reliability is the extent to which “preventive” operating practices are used. To satisfy this best practice there must There is well –structured, formal program for Operator Asset Care (OAC). This will include steps in development of operator work practices covering early detection, correction, and prevention of deterioration, Thus avoiding failure in service The program will produce a high level of ownership for condition, appearance and performance of equipment and work area among the operating team. Metrics, such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness, will be used to identify opportunities to improve the OAC program. |
