On the Cover£º Dendritic cells (DCs) that reside in parenchymal tissues undergo a maturation process upon encountering molecules from pathogens or damaged tissues, followed by their migration to lymph nodes. Acton et al. (p276¨C289) show that this motility and migration of DCs involve interaction of the C-type lectin receptor CLEC-2 on DCs with the transmembrane glycoprotein podoplanin on lymphatic endothelial cell and fibroblastic reticular cell. The image on the cover represents primary lymph node fibroblastic reticular cells plated on a coverslip and stained to visualize podoplanin (green), vimentin (red), F-actin (yellow), and the nucleus (blue). Micrograph by Jilian Astarita (Turley lab). .. Immunity.2012.37(2).Aug.24th.pdf(66.57MB) https://kuai.xunlei.com/d/GDZDJHWTQFVG?p=130497 |
