xx， I do supervise PhD students but only those whose topics I find interesting. Students undertaking a PhD within xx are registered within a teaching department, most usually the Department of Economics and RelatedStudies (DERS) or, occasionally, xx . Each department has its own entry requirements and you areadvised to check these requirements as a first step in order todetermine if you fit their criteria. If you feel you fit the necessary criteria, to enable us to assess whether a potential supervisor is willing and available to supervise your studies we would required an outline research proposal detailing your proposed research topic.
