[资源] Abstracts二氧化碳利用会议

Welcome to the 10  International Conference on CO2 Utilization (ICCDU-X), Tianjin, China from May 17-21, 2009,
followed by a Post-workshop on CO2 Chemistry for training and education purposes.
It is our great pleasure to host this unique conference. Under the theme of the utilization, we have prepared various
programs that cover the most  important issues. We have to say that many things have been changed after November
2008. In order to make a successful conference at the special period of world economic situation, we  arranged more
plenary (17 finally) and invited (11 finally) presentations than previous ICCDU conferences. In addition, we extended the
deadline for submission from January to March 2009 and finally received 190 submissions from 23 nations (according to
nationality of the first author). The extension of deadlines for submission and registration creates a lot of extra works.
When we were close to finish the arrangement of the program at the end of April 2009, we have to now face a challenge
of the ‘swine flu’. Anyway, we thank all the contributors, invited and non-invited, for your supports to ICCDU-X! We thank
the sponsors, the Key laboratory of Green Chemical Technology of MOE, the School of Chemical Engineering and
Technology, the International  Office and many others. Without their supports, the ICCDU-X conference would be
impossible. I would like to express my appreciation to the team of the local secretariat. Most of them are undergraduate
and graduate students of Tianjin University.
CO2 utilization is a big issue. It must be a long-term solution of the so-called carbon dioxide problem. What the ICCDU
is doing is great and will be even greater. I would suggest  the ICCDU to enhance her activities. I have also suggested
extending the ICCDU ISC to International CO2 Association.
