Research Associate Faculty of Science Centre for Eye Health via School of Optometry & Vision Science REF. 8810NET We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Research Associate for the Centre for Eye Health (http://www.cfeh.com.au/home/), appointed via the School of Optometry and Vision Science. The appointee will engage in management, research and publication within glaucoma diagnosis and glaucoma referral quality. The project is part of a recently funded NHMRC grant. You will be joining a research team with expertise in Optometry, Ophthalmology, Vision Science and Public Health, including post-graduate education, designing and executing large vision-related epidemiological trials, expertise in developing a new model of health care delivery (Centre for Eye Health), effectiveness of clinical test evaluation and in visual perceptual testing. Duties include but are not limited to: leading designated research projects encompassing experimental planning and the development of procedures assistance in the supervision of graduate students and other personnel associated with the project provide overall assistance and write research and ethics applications The successful applicant will be employed at one of the following levels: Level A: A$77K- A$82K (plus 17% employer superannuation and leave loading) Level B: A$86K- A$102K (plus 17% employer superannuation and leave loading) This is a fulltime (35 hours per week) position for an initial period of three year fixed term.
