| the 632.8 nm monochromatic beam excited by the He-Ne laser turns into the linearly polarized light through the polarizer, whose polarization direction is in the y direction. And the angle between the optical axial of the crystal and the polarization direction is 45°. The linearly polarized light turns into the mutually perpendicular o light and e light when entering the crystal. Due to the difference in the propagation velocity of the o light and e light, the light emitted from the crystal is elliptically polarized light. |
